Great stringsAug 30, 2010 I have used Ernie Ball Slinky's on and off for over 28 years. I just used some DiMarzo's and am once again returning to E.B. Slinky's for this guitar. I have never found a better string for the low side of 6 dollars. They have a good rich sound and last better than some brands. I prefer them.
The Absolute Best There Is!!! Bar None!Aug 07, 2010 Ernie Ball strings, whether they are super/regular/hybrid or whatever, are the best I have EVER played!!! I've been playing for over 25 years now, both professionally and for recreation. I have tried everything out there. Ernie balls have never let me down. They don't break for no reason. The balls don't ever unwind. They don't go flat prematurely. They don't go out of tune from simple bending. They keep their edge longer than anything else. You can't go wrong with these things. I use the super slinky's on my floyd rose guitars and strats. I love to use the regular sliky's on the les paul and sg style guitars. I use the heavy/light hybrids on the telecaster. They all work great!!! There is a reason that there are so many well known names on the back of the Ernie Ball package. They are just THAT good! Keep on Rockin'!!!
Ernie Ball Super Slinky String Set (9 - 42)Jul 11, 2010 they sounds really really good but after few days of playing
they lose the tone very quick ,it s too bad ,because i love those strings .
i play about one hour everyday...
maybe there are better strings out there . but i did not find them yet.
Ernie Ball Super Slinky ReviewJul 03, 2010 9's don't stay in tune quite as well,or sound quite as powerful as 10's. The high E is more likely to break during really big bends. Yet, they too sound great, and are MUCH easier to play on. After years of fighting with high action guitars, bigger strings, and limited playability, I decided a long time ago to opt for the freedom of the 9-42 set. All the major brands are basically equal in tone and durability. I usually picked one based on the price, availability, and yes, what the package looked like. After evaluating all sorts of strings, in all concievable ways, for more than 22 years now, the 9 gauge Ernie Ball Super Slinkys are my favorites.---JOL.
